TMJ TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT

Muscles disorders and temporomandibular joint (TMJ disorders) are problems that affect the joints and muscles of the mastication, that connect the lower jaw to the skull.

The temporomandibular joint is the one allowing the mobility of the jaw.

It is essential to have a good preliminary examination and complementary radiological studies for a precise diagnosis and subsequent therapeutic approach, which from our prospective must be as conservative as possible.

In cases of sequelae of untreated condylar fractures, as well as ankyloses (inability to open the mouth), we have a wide experience correcting it, and in some specific cases selecting the placement of TMJ prostheses).
